We'd like to thank Kristin Tinsley, Grace Buford, the Bearfoot Hookers, Silver Birds (David Leinweber and Bob McMillan), and the Three-Legged Boozehounds for making the weekend January 15 & 16 one of the best Hounddog Radio has had in quite a while. The talent in the station we had with us was second to none. Again, our heartfelt thanks to you all!
Hello again, Hounddog Radio listeners, supporters and friends,
First, I would like to thank all of you for your good thoughts and prayers over the past few weeks - and a special thanks to all of you who have donated! We’ve been totally blown away by your generosity! Our sincere gratitude goes out to Alan Gordon Smith, Fishing with Dynamite, A. J. Miller, Scott Granholm, and an anonymous friend from Germany. Danke vielmals!
As most of you know, we were set to cease operating on January 17, 2010. Now, thanks to your generous support, it looks like Hounddog Radio will be able to stay on the air at least through January. We can’t thank y’all enough for your contributions and friendship.
However, we are by no means out of the woods yet. Your contributions have given us some much-needed time to continue searching for a long-term solution, but our future is still unclear. We hope to have more information and (hopefully) good news for you soon.
And lastly, because we will need to switch to a new service provider soon, there will unfortunately be a brief shutdown time while we make the transition. We apologize for this, but we’ll be back up and running as soon as the switch is made.
Thank you again for all of your continued support.
Sincerest regards,
Frank and Cathy Coon

Many of y'all know that, over the past two years or so, we've been hosting a series of "songwriter-in-the-round" events featuring some of our favorite local (and occasionally not-so-local) artists. Well, we had another fine one on Sunday, September 27. READ MORE

Operation Love From Home (OLFH ) is a non-profit, non-political organization based in our town of Loganville, GA. These wonderful folks conduct holiday card drives for United States troops who are stationed around the world. OLFH strives to provide a "little bit of home" and a whole lot of love to brave soldiers by sending them "thank-you" cards, letters, and goodies collected from people all over the world. The group also organizes fundraisers and other special events, all in an effort to make those who are so far away from home feel just a little bit closer. Visit OLFH today, and let some great folks out there know that you're thinking of them and by giving the simple gift of gratitude. |

Yep, that’s right. We're takin' the show on the road (or, eh, something like that) and exclusively to you and your guests! Frank "the Hounddog" and Ashley Taylor are loadin' up the truck and are ready to be there when you need them, whether you’re gettin' hitched, planning an anniversary party, having a big birthday celebration, or any other high-fallutin shindigs (hey, we'd like to get invited somehow). Just let us know and we'd be happy to help! We'll provide only the most sophisticated entertainment...uh, we mean, some classy entertainment......oh, okay...we'll have a lot of fun. Yeah. That last one is true. Contact us for information on rates, services and scheduling. We'll catch you out on the dance floor, and we promise not to make fun of your moves out there if you don't make fun of ours. |
Great Lake Swimmers - "Pulling on a Line"
In addition to Amazon MP3's fantastic deals on album downloads, they offer a ton of new and/or exclusive tracks absolutely free! Our latest recommendation is this one from the Toronto-based trio, Great Lake Swimmers, entitled, "Pulling on a Line."
You can get the track, for a limited time, directly from this link. And while you're in there, don't forget to check out all the other deals Amazon MP3 is offering, including a lot of classic albums, all in their entirety, for only $5. Go on an' git 'em!
